Dear Parent / Guardian,
Dear Parent / Guardian
The choice of secondary school is one of the most difficult and significant decisions that you and your daughter will make. I am delighted that you are considering making St. Cecilia’s College your daughter’s home at post primary level. We understand that this process has been made particularly difficult this year as ‘normal’ activities and selection processes have changed so significantly.
Some things, however, have not changed. St. Cecilia’s College remains a child-centred, warm and friendly environment in which our pupils can learn, grow and achieve. The fundamental ethos of the school is to develop within each of our pupils: self-belief, resilience and a desire to succeed.
Whilst we may not be able to welcome you to a traditional Open Day we invite you to browse our FaceBook page, enjoy our virtual Open Day and the other online opportunities we have created to help you with your decision. As always we are here to answer any questions you may have too, so in January we will host a series of live chats with senior staff.
At St. Cecilia’s we have high expectations of all of our pupils. Every year our outstanding results confirms this and we are delighted to consistently be well above the Northern Ireland average for similar schools. Our teachers are highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated with a love of their subject that inspires the pupils in their care.
Our outstanding success has been recognised nationally with St. Cecilia’s achieving ‘Finalist’ status in both the Pearson Teaching Awards and TES Awards as ‘UK Secondary School of the Year, 2020.’
I would be delighted if you and your daughter would consider St. Cecilia’s College as her secondary school home for the next few years. If there is anything we can do to assist you in making this important decision, please do not hesitate to contact us.
