GCSE: CCEA Health & Social Care, Level 2 Occupational Studies: Environment & Society Units 50 & 54, OCR Cambridge Technicals Level 3.

94% A-C. This significantly exceeds NI Average.

100% pass rate in Occupational Studies with almost 1 in 5 achieving Distinction.

KS5: 100% pass rate and almost 54% Distinction *, equivalent to A*!

Health & Social Care Department Information

Department enrichment activities are back up and running. Busy schedule of activities including reminiscence session from elderly years specialist from a care home, midwife talk, trip to Belmont Nursery, workshop with the Foyle Down Syndrome Trust and many more collaborations with other agencies. The girls are getting to experience what it is like to work in Health & social care settings.

 

Visits from outside speakers who work in H&SC including Caroline Merrigan, Northern Trust midwife; Robin McClean, local pharmacist; Dierdre Doherty, play therapist and reminiscence therapist.

Year 12 Health and Social Care went on a visit to Longfield Nursing Home to do reminiscence work with the residents.

Year R 11 Health and Social Care students went to Steelstown PS to do activities with the P1 children.
