Careers Open Day at MDECBuildingAltnagelvinHospital
On Thursday 4th February 2010, yr 13 students had the opportunity to talk to qualified staff from various health care professions such as:
Physiotherapy, Radiography, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Orthoptics, Dietetics, Podiatry, Optometry, Bio-medical Sciences and Social Work. The students explored the various career areas and found the day to be very informative and worthwhile.
Yr 10 Career Planning Workshop – Friday 5th February 2010.
All Year 10 pupils had an opportunity to participate in the following Career planning workshop. This Sentinus course takes a fresh and dynamic approach to helping pupils develop the skills and knowledge required to identify, prepare and plan for their future careers through focusing on:

Personal skills

Goal setting
q
Action planning.
The day launched the start of Yr 10 Options and will be the first of many career sessions to help Yr 10 make informed subject choices for Key Stage 4.
