Interview with Mr. Lafferty
Childhood obesity is a growing problem in our society. 14% of boys and 17% of girls between the ages of 2 and 15 are overweight. But what kind of social problems is this obesity epidemic causing? The pupils from class 10E in St. Cecilia’s College decided to investigate the impact of obesity in their school.

Interview with Mrs. Nicholl
As part of their research for BBC News School Report, the girls from 10F at St. Cecilia’s College have been looking at issues surrounding obesity. We know that taking regular exercise is one of the most effective ways to maintain a healthy weight. With this in mind, the girls spoke to the Head of their PE department to find out about keeping fit.

The Troubles
The current pupils at St. Cecilia’s College are too young to remember much about life during the Troubles. But some of the teachers have been teaching there since the early Seventies and remember this period very clearly. The girls from 10E and 10F in St. Cecilia's College wanted to find out what it was like during the conflict so they spoke to some of the longest serving teachers.

St. Cecilia’s College has been given a healthy eating award called the School’s Meal Service. The girls from 10E and 10F wanted to find out what the school is doing in terms of healthy eating to prevent obesity. They spoke to principal, Mrs. Gormley, and some pupils on the topic.
